When the Weather is Fine

I just finished watching a Korean drama "When the Weather is Fine". It is such a heartwarming k-drama that leaves my heart full of warmth <3

It has everything I love. The setting place in the countryside. Goodnight Bookstore. A book club meeting. Private blog post. Introvert male lead. Slice of life. Ahhh it's been a while to watch such a heart whelmed k-drama.

I was drawn to the character of Im Eun Seop who's an introvert in nature, owning a bookstore called Goodnight Bookstore which have a book club meeting weekly, journal his thoughts in a private blog and his love language is an act of service. He has such a beautiful smile too (my heart flutters haha).

The book club meetings' scene are also my favourite in this k-drama, where they shared their favourite passages in a book or poem that they read, or sharing a folk story as a metaphor of life. They shared their opinions, argued, laughed and had such a wonderful time together. It involved various group of age too.

This k-drama also caters about childhood trauma of both lead actors, although for me this is not illustrates very detail in the drama. The abandonment issues, bullying in school.

This might be biased, but I recommended this k-drama as a comfort drama to watch. I found out that this k-drama is based on a korean novel written by Lee Do-Woo. However, I can't find any English translation, and it seems like it's been translated into Indonesian's language.

Sigh, I really want an english version of the book if there's any.

So... this is why I start to write a blog again, because of this k-drama. Hiks.
